Test Suite for ARINC 653 Developed
UniTESK Lab. has developed a test suite, which ensures conformance to ARINC 653 "Avionics Application Software Standard Interface" specification. The test suite satisfies to ARINC 653 part 3 "Conformity Test Specification", which describes the requirements necessary to demonstrate conformity to the software interface defined in ARINC 653 part 1 "Required Services".

ARINC 653 defines a standard interface between application software and Real Time Operating System (RTOS). Initially the standard was developed for avionics software, but now it is getting to be used in other areas of embedded systems.

As of beginning of the year 2007, ARINC 653 “Avionics Application Software Standard Interface” consists of the following parts:

  • ARINC 653 Part 1 – Required Services
  • ARINC 653 Part 2 – Extended Services
  • ARINC 653 Part 3 – Conformity Test Specification

The standard is developed by Airlines Electronic Engineering Committee (AEEC) of the ARINC company, which plays a lead role in the area of avionics equipment standardization. More information on the ARINC 653 specification is avalable at http://www.arinc.com.
